Job Description:
BW Papersystems is looking for a Logistics Coordinator to provide comprehensive administrative support, ensure operational efficiency and enhance customer trust. As a liaison between third-party logistics companies and BW Papersystems, you will manage manufacturing and transportation processes. Additionally, you will oversee the processing and monitoring of freight claims.
Job Responsibilities:
Process imports and exports using internal business systems.
Create and update spreadsheets to communicate performances to operations and leadership teams.
Communicates effectively both verbally and in the written word, having keen attention to detail.
Make continual process changes and adapts performances in order to meet the organization’s needs and deadlines.
Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Examines material contents and verify that materials match incoming or outgoing shipments records.
Ensures that carriers are notified of freight pick-up and that the freight is routed properly.
Prepares bills of lading and shipping manifests.
Traces shipments and obtains proof of delivery.
Answers inquiries regarding shipping status and expedite shipment when required.
Knowledge of different computer programs (MAPICS, Infor XA, PowerBI, or Microsoft 365).
Pick, pack/crate domestic and international shipments as needed.
Basic Qualifications and Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
2+ years of experience working in a manufacturing setting.
Preferred:
2+ years of experience working in the transportation industry with an international shipping emphasis (knows Incoterms, SLI’s, and the USMCA).
This is a first-shift position that will participate in an on-call evening and weekend rotation to support customers’ parts needs.
