FIRE CLAIMS GRAPA FAMILY'S HOME

On April 29, 2022, the Gene & Terry Grapa family lost their home.

The fire started in the garage.  Terry, who was sleeping, was woken by her daughter, Myra.  Terry quickly looked outside and could see the fire through the garage window.  She thought she had time to get the car out of the garage, but Gene told her to call 911 instead, which she did.  Her daughter tried to get the car out, but noticed it was already in flames.  Fire spread quickly, and it was soon threatening the house, so the family went inside to check for their cats.  Two of the cats were found on the property.  The other one was missing but later found alive.  After a quick search of the house for the cats, soon the house was engulfed in flames, and the Grapa's home was a total loss.

Luckily, they were able to find and clean a lot of their clothes, and they have received many kind donations of food and other items.  For those who would like to give a money donation, funds can be sent to Gene Grapa, W5378 Hillcrest Road, Phillips, WI  54555 with "Grapa Fire Fund" in the memo or via PayPal
