WHAT'S BURNING ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF PARK FALLS?

Some people were reporting seeing fire, very high flames, or a bright glow on the south side of Park Falls on the night of Valentine's Day.  The flames and light in the sky are coming from the area by the Hwy. 13 bridge and Lower Dam Road, according to the Park Falls Police Department.

This was and is not a structure fire.  Rather, a gas company is providing maintenance in that area, which will continue through Friday, February 17, 2023.

Residents will hear noise and see large flames at times.  There will also be some flare-ups and a bright glow, through the day and night, until maintenance is complete.
