Job Description:

As an Operations Capacity Planner, you will be responsible for developing the master production plan to meet customer demand while maintaining optimal inventory levels. You'll work under limited supervision in non-routine situations, using established policies, procedures, and business strategies to guide decisions and resolve complex problems.

You will collaborate closely with senior leadership and sales to present planning insights, share production capacity updates, and align business needs with operational capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and manage production schedules based on sales forecasts, inventory levels, labor availability, and production lead times.

Adjust schedules in response to changes in demand, materials availability, or resource constraints.

Collaborate cross-functionally with supply chain, production, purchasing, and sales teams to ensure alignment and timely availability of raw materials and resources.

Monitor material flow and backlog between work centers; prioritize and manage shifting production needs.

Maintain accurate production status updates; coordinate with project coordinators and materials personnel to ensure progress against production plans.

Interface with senior leadership and the sales team to present capacity plans, communicate risks, and support decision-making.

Participate in cross-functional initiatives aimed at improving cycle times, resolving manufacturing issues, and preventing the reoccurrence of customer concerns.

Analyze and improve processes to enhance quality, service, and productivity while meeting key performance indicators.

Review master production requirements and work with manufacturing leaders to evaluate capacity and manpower constraints.

Basic Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

4+ years of experience in manufacturing, production planning, or sales operations within a manufacturing environment.

Experience presenting operational information to senior leaders or cross-functional stakeholders.

Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, etc.).

Experience with ERP systems such as Infor XA, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics 365.
